Kathmandu Valley

The Kathmandu valley is the political and economic heartland of the country; there are a lot of immigrants who go to the main city to find work. The valley is also a tourist magnet. Away from the metropolis, there are many villages where time seems to stand still. The countryside here has beautiful green fields, forests and mountains, making a feast for the eye. It only takes a short trip from Kathmandu and you are seemingly almost touching the vast mountains of the Himalaya.

Despite the oppressed materialistic circumstances which most of the inhabitants of Nepal endure, the hospitality, friendliness and kindness of the people is indescribable.
